Negros Power Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with River Cleanup in Murcia
Celebrating two years of service is even more special when it helps the community. Negros Electric and Power Corporation, or Negros Power, marked its second anniversary by gathering employees and community partners for an environmental project.
With the theme “Stronger Together,” Negros Power organized a river cleanup on August 4, 2026, at Prk. Paghidaet in Barangay Salvacion, Murcia. This event showed the company’s obligation to protecting the environment, involving the community, and supporting sustainable growth in Negros.
Negros Power Celebrates Two Years Through Community Action
Rather than just having a celebration, Negros Power decided to mark its anniversary with an activity that directly helped the local environment.
The river cleanup took place early in the morning and brought together Negros Power staff, government officials, community leaders, and environmental supporters. Volunteers worked side by side to remove various kinds of waste from the river and nearby areas.

Barangay Salvacion was represented by Barangay Captain Hon. Jenny Jimenea.
